The purpose of this paper is to deal with the oscillation properties of the solutions and the existence of nonoscillatory solutions of the fuzzy delay differential equation \[ -(r(t)x^\prime (t))^\prime =q(t)F(x(t-\sigma )),\quad t\in T, \] with continuous initial function on \(T_0=[-\sigma ,0]\), where \(F:E^1\to E^1\) (\(E^1\) is a subset of the set of u.s.c. normal fuzzy sets on \(\mathbb{R}\) with compact support detailed in the paper) is a fuzzy mapping, \(r,q:T\to [0,+\infty )\), \(T=[-\sigma ,+\infty )\), \(\sigma \geq 0.\) Some examples are given to illustrate the main results.
