Building on their previous work, the authors compute the zeta-function of a monoidal scheme of finite type over \(\mathbb{F}_1\), the ``field of one element''; it turns out to be a rational function, satisfying a suitable functional equation. They then go on to study the \(\mathbb{F}_1\) zeta-function of a split reductive group over \(\mathbb{Z}\) (cf. the work of \textit{O. Lorscheid} [C. R., Math., Acad. Sci. Paris 348, No. 21--22, 1143--1146 (2010; Zbl 1221.11149)] for similar calculations). Some more general zeta-functions are defined and studied via an appropriate regularization procedure.
