In the book by \textit{B. Grünbaum} and \textit{G. C. Shephard} [`Tilings and Patterns', Freeman, San Francisco, CA (1987; Zbl 0601.05001)] the number of unilateral and equitransitive tilings by squares of three sizes is conjectured to be five. This conjecture was shown to be false when \textit{H. Martini}, \textit{E. Makai} and \textit{V. Soltan} [Beitr. Algebra Geom. 39, No. 2, 481-495 (1998; Zbl 0917.52015)] produced one more such tiling, and later on B. Grünbaum produced two more. In the same paper, criteria for a tiling to be a unilateral tiling by squares of three sizes were established. Using these criteria, the author proves that the list of eight known tilings is complete.
