Let \(\mathcal L(I)\) denote the set of all interval maps \(f\colon~I\rightarrow I\) satisfying: 1) f is piecewise monotone; 2) there exists a homeomorphism \(h\) on \(I\) such that \(h^{-1}\circ f\circ h\) is piecewise linear with slopes \(\pm s\) for some \(s>1\). The authors present an algorithm which enables one to detect the topological transitivity of maps from \(\mathcal L(I)\).
