The author studies polytopal approximation of convex bodies with \(C^2\)-boundary in \(\mathbb{R}^n\), \(n\geq 4\). Let \(M\) be a convex body with \(C^2\)-boundary in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) and let \(P_n\) be a polytope whose number of \(k\)-faces is at most \(n\). With respect to most of commonly used metrics \(d\) an estimate for \(d(M,P_n)\) is furnished. The optimality of these estimates is also verified up to a constant dependent on the metric and the dimension.
