Mixed equilibrium problems occur in many applications as a unifying problem for monotone inclusion problems, saddle point problems, variational inequality problems and minimization problems. For the solution of these problems several iterative methods were developed. One of them is the iterative method for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping and the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem in the framework of Banach spaces. Motivated by this approach, the authors introduce a block hybrid projection method which improve and extend the earlier results.
