    The authors introduce two subclasses of double splittings, namely the double proper regular splitting and the double proper weak regular splitting. Then two new results on the convergence and comparison of matrix splitting are presented, which extend some previous results. These results are useful to analyse iterative methods for general systems of linear equations.
