The decomposition method of Adomian may sometimes be used to compute approximate solutions for differential equations. It has two major drawbacks: (a) It requires the use of so-called Adomian polynomials, which are usually very difficult to compute, and (b) its convergence properties have hardly ever been analyzed in an appropriate way, and indeed they seem to be somewhat unsatisfactory in many cases. The paper under review addresses problem (a) by proposing an algorithm that can be used to compute the Adomian polynomials for general systems of ordinary differential equations.
