The classes of right and left \(\gamma\)-generating matrices were introduced by \textit{D. Z. Arov} [J. Sov. Math. 52, No. 6, 3487--3491 (1990; Zbl 0718.41004); translation from Teor. Funkts., Funkts. Anal. Prilozh. 51, 61--67 (1989)]. These matrices play an important role in the description of solutions of the indeterminate Nehari problem. In the present paper, the author introduces the classes of the so-called generalized right and left \(\gamma\)-generating matrices, being resolvent matrices of the Nehari-Takagi problem. For matrices of these classes, some factorization theorems are proved, and the connection between the class of generalized \(\gamma\)-generating matrices and the class of generalized \(j_{pq}\)-inner matrix valued functions is found. Subclasses of singular, regular, and strongly regular generalized \(\gamma\)-generating matrices are introduced and studied.
