The paper provides some connections between partition relations, twin functions and strong sequences. Strong sequences where defined by \textit{B. A. Efimov} during the investigation of the Cantor space and its generalization [``Diaditcheskie bikompakty'', Tr. Mosk. Mat. Obshch. 14, 211--247 (1965)]. Strong sequences were studied in [\textit{M. Turzaṅski}, Commentat. Math. Univ. Carol. 33, No. 3, 557--561 (1992; Zbl 0793.54016)] with respect to general topological spaces. In [Open Math. 15, 1277--1282 (2017; Zbl 1435.03078)], the author of this paper defined a variation of this concept, \textit{\(\kappa\)-strong sequences} which is used in this paper. \textit{Twin functions} were defined and investigated in [\textit{M. Turzański}, Commentat. Math. Univ. Carol. 39, No. 2, 303--307 (1998; Zbl 0938.03068)]. In this paper, Turzański demonstrates their usefulness as a tool for proving some variants of the Erdős-Rado theorem and for showing the existence of strong sequences under some cardinal arithmetic assumptions. Some of the results of the current paper are a generalization of Turzański's results. In this paper, the author derives from the main theorem of [the author, loc. cit.] some consequences for twin functions and instances of the Erdős-Rado theorem. The author provides some counterexamples for potential generalizations of the theorems, if some of the assumptions fail, as well as some positive consequences of the theorems regarding to cardinal characteristics of topological spaces, twin functions and partition relations. The paper contains many typos and it can be quite difficult to follow. Comparing the definitions, results and arguments in the paper to the previous paper of the author [loc. cit.] or to Turzanski [loc. cit.] can help to somewhat clarify some of the points in the paper.
