An extended Lie--Trotter formula and its applications (Q2459964): Difference between revisions

The authors present a class of Lie--Trotter formulae for Hermitian operators which include the formulae derived by \textit{F.\,Hiai} and \textit{D.\,Petz} [Linear Algebra Appl.\ 181, 153--185 (1993; Zbl 0784.15011)] and by \textit{T.\,Furuta} [Linear Algebra Appl.\ 396, 353--372 (2005; Zbl 1070.47010)]. A Lie--Trotter formula for weighted log--Euclidean geometric means of several positive definite operators is given in terms of Sagae--Tanabe geometric and spectral geometric means.
