The paper deals with the classical Schwarz reflection principle. This tool allows to extend the domain of definition of a harmonic function vanishing on relatively open subsets of a planar or spherical boundary surface. The authors clearly illustrate recent progress on such kind of results when the harmonic functions are defined on cylinders or annular cylinders. They conclude the paper with some open questions.
