In the paper, an exothermic reaction is studied that occurs in porous slab in presence of convection. The model of this reaction is studied analytically by combining Laplace transform and homotopy analysis methods. The Laplace transform acts on the equation which is then rewritten in a specific form. To deal with it, a homotopy is introduced that transforms some initial guess into the desired solution (i.e., temperature). This manipulation allows to represent the temperature as a series whose terms are found recursively. Comparison with results obtained by other methods confirms the convergence of the described method.
