    This article deals with a family of difference equations of the form \[ x_{n+1}=\frac{\sum_{i\in \mathbf{Z}_{k+2}-\{j,l\}}x_{n-i}+x_{n-j}x_{n-l} +A}{\sum_{i\in \mathbf{Z}_{k+2}-\{s,t\}}x_{n-i}+x_{n-s}x_{n-t}+A}, \quad n=0, 1,, \ldots, \] where \(A\geq 0\), \(j\not= l\), \(s\not=t\), \(j,l,s,t\in \mathbf{Z}_{k+2}\equiv \{0, 1,\ldots, k+2\}\), \(k\) is a nonnegative integer. The authors prove that, if all the initial values \(x_{-k-2}, x_{-k-1}, \ldots, x_0\) are positive, then the unique equilibrium \(x^*=1\) is globally stable.
