The author surveys some results on the existence and multiplicity of radial solutions for Neumann problems in a ball and in an annular domain, associated to pendulum like perturbations of the mean extrinsic curvature operator in Minkowski space. At first, the author introduces a nonlinear operator whose fixed points correspond to the solutions of a Neumann problem and, making some degree computations, shows existence and multiplicity for a Neumann problem, under condition up on the radius and the mean value of the forcing term or upon the norm of the forcing term. Is also introduced and studied a functional whose critical points are solutions of the considered Neumann problem. All the known proofs are of variational nature, sometimes combined with some topological auxiliary arguments. We point out that in this note the authors obtain the results using a purely variational approach.
