In the article under review the author considers quotients of multi-graded bundles including double vector bundles. The later were introduced in [\textit{J. Pradines}, C. R. Acad. Sci., Paris, Sér. A 278, 1523--1526 (1974; Zbl 0285.58002); Esquisses Mathématiques. 29 Université d' Amiens, U.E.R. de Mathématiques (1977; Zbl 0396.53016)]. Double vector bundles are fiber bundles \(D\to M\) admitting a commutative diagram given by compositions \(D\to A\to M\) and \(D\to B\to M\) such that \(A\) and \(B\) are vector bundles satisfying certain compatibility conditions. The main result of the article under review gives a correspondence between the quotients of \(D\) and bigraded Lie subalgebra bundles of a Lie algebra bundle associated to \(D\). Among the applications of the theory the article includes a construction of normal bundles for weighted submanifolds, as well as for pairs of submanifolds with clean intersection.
