This paper studies a one-parameter family of Pomeau-Manneville type interval maps \(T_\alpha\) with unique absolutely continuous invariant probability measures \(\mu_\alpha\). The authors prove for any \(q \in [1, \infty]\) and \(\psi \in L^q\) that the map \(\alpha \mapsto \int \psi d \mu_\alpha\) is continuously differentiable on \([0, 1 - 1/q)\) and they provide two expressions for the linear response formula. The authors emphasize that this is the first time that a linear response formula for the SRB measure has been obtained in the setting of slowly mixing dynamics. Their proof is based on cone techniques of \textit{C. Liverani} et al. [Ergodic Theory Dyn. Syst. 19, No. 3, 671--685 (1999; Zbl 0988.37035)]. For \(a \geq 1/2\), they also use results of \textit{S. Gouëzel} [Isr. J. Math. 139, 29--65 (2004; Zbl 1070.37003)]. The authors point out that by a different method \textit{A. Korepanov} [Nonlinearity 29, No. 6, 1735--1754 (2016; Zbl 1360.37100)] obtained linear response but without the formula for all \(\alpha \in (0,1)\) and \(L^q\) observables for \(q > (1 - \alpha)^{-1}\).
