In this part of the paper we turn to the concepts of Gelfand and Pettis integrability and integration of scalar-valued functions with respect to a Banach space valued measure. The problem before us and our method for solving it have been outlined in Section 1 of Part I of this paper [same journal 73, 204-241 (1989; Zbl 0684.28002)].
