The paper deals with strongly connected closed models (SCCM). Closed models are those which have no flows to or from the outside. The structure of the compartmental models is related to the directed graph or digraph. Eigenvalues of a compartmental matrix are studied for catenary systems, mammillary systems, graphs and cycles.
