The author reports an \(L^ p\)-boundedness result of pseudo-differential operators. He treats classes of symbols p(x,\(\xi)\) which satisfies \[ | \partial^ k_{\xi_ j}p(x,\xi)| \leq C(1+\xi^ 2_ j)^{- k/2}\quad (j=1,...,n,\quad k=0,1,...,n+1). \] The classes are very wide in some sense. That is, the operators with symbols in the present paper contain so called ''parabolic type'' and ''product type'' operators. The classes correspond to the singular integral operators of mixed homogeneity. The main theorem is given by the use of modulus of continuity, which expresses the order of continuity of symbols p(x,\(\xi)\) in the space of variables x. The proof is not given. The detailed proof will be published elsewhere.
