The author presents in this paper a generalization of a family of examples of finite-dimensional Hopf algebras introduced by \textit{N. Andruskiewitsch, P. Etingof} and \textit{S. Gelaki} [in Mich. Math. J. 49, No. 2, 277-298 (2001; Zbl 1016.16029)] as twisting of finite supergroups, which have played an important rôle in the classification of finite-dimensional triangular Hopf algebras. The examples studied in the paper under review are obtained using twisting deformations, from triples \((V,G,\mathcal D)\), where \(G\) is a finite group with a central subgroup \(\Gamma\), \(V\) is a quantum linear space over \(G\), such that the subgroup \(\Gamma\) is generated by the group elements corresponding to the simple subcomodules of \(V\), and \(\mathcal D\) is a family of scalars compatible in an appropriate sense. The author gives a necessary and sufficient condition for the corresponding Hopf algebra to be pointed. It turns out that the construction gives rise to new examples of finite-dimensional Hopf algebras with the Chevalley property, which are neither pointed nor semisimple.
