The authors consider the fluctuations of the magnetization in the random field Curie-Weiss model, where the external field is an i.i.d. sequence with finite absolute first moment. After briefly reviewing the existing central limit theorem (CLT) and large deviation principle (LLP), the main result of the article is a moderate deviation principle for the magnetization \(S_n\) in the Gibbs state, namely the limiting behavior of \((S_n-nm)/n^\alpha\) for scales \(\alpha\) between those of the CLT and LLP. The proof relies on the Hubbard-Stratonovich transformation, followed by an asymptotic analysis of integrals of exponential functions. Finally, a few examples of distributions of the random field are discussed, with emphasis on phase diagrams.
