Existence results for singular elliptic equations (Q1185400): Difference between revisions

The author proves existence results for positive solutions \(u\in W_{\text{loc}}^{1,2} \cap L_{2n/(n-2)}\) on \(\mathbb{R}^ n\) of \(-\Delta u=g(x,u)\), with \(g\) nonincreasing in \(u\), and \(g(x,u)\leq f(x)\in L_{2n/(n+2)} \cap L_{p,\text{loc}}\), \(p>n\) for \(u\geq 1>0\). Note that \(g\) may tend to infinity for \(u\to 0\). For nonlinearities increasing in \(u\) see e.g. \textit{E. S. Noussair} and \textit{Ch. A. Swanson} [Can. Math.
