Let \(X_ 1, X_ 2,..., X_ k\) be exchangeable random variables which are uniformly distributed on (0, 1). We say that the \(X_ j\) are n- extendible \((n>k)\) if the enlarged set \(X_ 1, X_ 2,..., X_ k, X_{k+1},..., X_ n\) of random variables is also exchangeable. It is an active field of research finding necessary or sufficient conditions for extendibility. The author obtains such conditions by first establishing lower bounds for the distribution of k exchangeable random variables which are n-extendible.
