The paper deals with non-autonomous SIRS epidemic models with bilinear incidence and disease-induced mortality. Sufficient and necessary conditions for permanence and strong persistence of the disease and sufficient conditions for extinction of the disease are derived via the quite weak assumption that some new threshold values in integral form are given.
