Two sets of infinite numbers of symmetries and constants of motion for a class of \(2+1\) dimensional nonlinear evolution equations (NEEs) are derived. These NEEs - we call them the new hierarchy of the KP equations - are generated by a set of additional symmetries of the KP and higher- order KP equations and explicitly depend on the space variable x and y. The expression for their constants of motion in terms of the scattering data are given and the time evolution of the scattering data corresponding to the new hierarchy of the KP equations are computed.
