This paper develops a new approach to the physics of doped \(U(1)\) spin liquids. There are studied both the low energy spectra and the quantum phase transitions of a conventional two-dimensional \(d\)-wave superconductor. It is established that the vortices of the superconducting state have variety of wavefunctions on the lattice. Connections to experiments illustrate the abstract results of this paper.
