Summary: In this paper, we investigate the eigenvalue problem for Caputo fractional differential equation with Riemann-Stieltjes integral boundary conditions \[ ^cD^\theta_{0+} p(y)+\mu f(t,p(y))= 0,\;y\in[0,1],\;p(0)= p''(0)= 0, \] \[ (1)= \int^1_0 p(y) dA(y), \] where \(^cD^\theta_{0+}\) is Caputo fractional derivative \(\theta\in (2,3]\), an \(f:[0,1]\times [0,+\infty)\) is continuous. By using the Guo-Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem on cone and the properties of the Green's function, some new results on the existence and nonexistence of positive solutions for the fractional differential equation are obtained.
