For \(k\geq 1\), a \(b^k\)-manifold is a triple \((M,Z,j)\) where \(M\) is an oriented manifold, \(Z\subseteq M\) is an embedded oriented hypersurface, and \(j\) is a \((k-1)\)-jet that can be represented by a positively oriented local defining function \(y\) for \(Z\). In this paper, some elements of the geometry of \(b^k\)-manifolds are presented. We mention here: -- definitions and examples: \(b^k\)-map, \(b^k\)-vector field, \(b^k\)-tangent bundle, \(b^k\)-cotangent bundle, differential \(b^k\)-forms, symplectic \(b^k\)-form, symplectic \(b^k\)-manifold, \(b^k\)-symplectomorphism -- properties related to: De Rham theory and Laurent series of \(b^k\)-forms (the residue map, the \(b^k\)-de Rham complex), Volume forms on a \(b^k\)-manifold (Liouville volume of a \(b^k\)-form, \(b^k\) orientation), Symplectic and Poisson geometry of \(b^k\)-Forms (global Moser's theorem), Symplectic and Poisson structures of \(b^k\) type.
