Let \((M, \Omega)\) be a symplectic manifold and let \(\Lambda(M)\) be its algebra of differential forms. Consider the ideal \(\Lambda_{\mathcal{L}}(M)\) of all forms whose restrictions to all Lagrangian submanifolds are trivial. This ideal is generated by \(\Omega\) and its powers determine a decreasing filtration of the de Rham complex \(\{\Lambda(M),d\}\). The corresponding spectral sequence \(\{E_{r}^{p,q}, d_{r}^{p,q}\}\) is called the symplectic spectral sequence. In the paper under review, the authors give a description of the \(E_{0}\), \(E_{1}\), and \(E_{2}\) pages of this spectral sequence. In particular, they give conditions for the spectral sequence to stabilize at the \(E_{2}\) page. They also give a characterization of harmonic symplectic manifolds in terms of certain differentials of the \(E_{2}\) page.
