The paper deals with Hill's equation with random forcing parameters and provides an analysis of the growth rates, with the basic tool being the random matrices which connect the solutions from cycle to cycle. One first determines the growth rates by using matrix multiplication for the classical unstable regime, then one provides approximations for these regimes, and lastly one considers instability in relation with elliptical rotations.
