\textit{J. Dorfmeister} and \textit{E. Neher} [Commun. Algebra 13, 2299--2368 (1985; Zbl 0578.53041)] proved that there is only one isoparametric hypersurfaces with \(g=6 \) (the number of distinct principal curvatures of the isoparametric hypersurface) and multiplicities equal to 1 (\(m=1\)). In the paper under review the authors give a new proof of Dorfmeister and Neher theorem using a method applicable to the multiplicity two case.
