To begin with, it is proved that any graded Steinberg algebra associated to a graded ample Hausdorff groupoid can be realised as a partial skew inverse semigroup ring. Then it is considered further in the case that there is a partial action of a discrete group on a locally compact Hausdorff space which is totally disconnected. Next, a one-to-one correspondence between the graded ideals of the partial skew group ring and the open invariant subsets of the topological space is established. In addition, the authors show that each partial \(C^{*}\)-algebra of an abelian group can be realised as a partial skew group ring. Finally, some applications to the theory of Leavitt path algebras are provided.
