Let \(D, G\subset\mathbb C^n\) be domains and let \(\pi:D\to G\) be a proper holomorphic mapping with multiplicity \(m\). For a continuous function \(\alpha:G\to(0,+\infty)\), let \(\mathbb A^2_\alpha(G)\) be the Hilbert space \[ \bigg\{f\in\mathcal O(G): \int_G|f|^2\alpha dV<+\infty\bigg\}. \] Define \(\Gamma:\mathbb A^2_\alpha(G)\to\mathbb A^2_{\alpha\circ\pi}(D)\), \(\gamma(f):=\frac1{\sqrt{m}}(f\circ\pi)\cdot J\pi\), where \(J\pi\) stands for the Jacobian of \(\pi\). In the main theorem, the author proves that \(H:=\Gamma(\mathbb A^2_\alpha)(G)\) is a closed subspace of \(\mathbb A^2_{\alpha\circ\pi}(D)\), \(\Gamma:\mathbb A^2_\alpha(G)\to H\) is an isometry, and the orthogonal projection \(\mathbb A^2_{\alpha\circ\pi}(D)\to H\) is given by the formula \[ P(g);=\frac1m\sum_{k=1}^m(g\circ\varphi_k\circ\pi)\cdot J(\varphi_k\circ\pi), \] where \(\varphi_1,\dots,\varphi_m\) are the local inverses to \(\pi\). As an application, she shows that the tetrablock \(\mathbb E:=\pi(\mathcal R_{\text{II}})\subset\mathbb C^3\) is not a Lu Qi-Keng domain, where \[ \mathcal R_{\text{II}}:=\bigg\{(z_1,z_2,z_3)\in\mathbb C^3:\bigg\|\binom{z_1, z_3}{z_3, z_2}\bigg\|<1\bigg\} \] is the classical Cartan domain and \(\pi(z_1,z_2,z_3):=(z_1,z_2,z_1z_2-z_3^2)\).
