Let \((V,\langle,\rangle)\) be a Euclidean space and for \(s \in V\), let \(\pi_s:V \rightarrow V\) be the linear map \(v \pi_s = \langle v,s \rangle s.\) A finite subset \(S\) is said to be eutactic if there exist positive scalars \(r_s>0\) such that \(Id_V = \sum_{s \in S } r_s \pi_s.\) The subset is strongly eutactic if all \(r_s\) can be chosen to be equal. The author shows that certain lattices constructed from finite abelian groups are eutactic confirming a conjecture by Böttcher, Eisenbarth, Fukshansky, Garcia, and Maharaj [\textit{A. Böttcher} et al., Discrete Comput. Geom. 61, No. 1, 123--135 (2019; Zbl 1446.11128)]. The techniques are used to obtain simpler proofs of two known results, namely such a lattice is strongly eutactic if and only if the abelian group has odd order or is elementary abelian, and such a lattice has a basis of minimal vectors, except for the cyclic group of order \(4\).
