The authors establish spectral rigidity for spherically symmetric manifolds with boundary. Let us describe a few sections. In the second section they consider geodesics in spherical symmetry and state the trace formula where the proof is provided in the third section. In Section 3.1, they revisit the wave propagator constructed in [\textit{V. Guillemin} and \textit{R. Melrose}, Adv. Math. 32, 204--232 (1979; Zbl 0421.35082)] and show how all explicit calculations relate to the abstract geometric construction. Thanks to the trace formula, they prove the rigidity of the length spectrum which implies the rigidity of the Neumann spectrum of the Laplace-Beltrami operator (Section 4).
