In this paper, the authors study a two component system involving some equations of the Camassa-Holm type, see system (1.4). They first use Kato's approach to establish local well posedness (see section 2). Next, they look for the formation of singularities of the solutions. They prove that solutions may develop wave breaking in section 3. Global aspects are then considered in the last section. It is important to note that, as long as the a solution exists globally, then it must necessarily vanish as \(t\rightarrow\infty\). This can be inferred from Theorem 3.1.
