The following theorem is proved: If the finite group \(G=A_ 1A_ 2\dots A_ n\) is the product of \(n\) subgroups \(A_ 1,\dots,A_ n\) where \(n\geq 2\) and such that \(A_ iA_ j\) is a soluble subgroup of \(G\) for every pair of indices \(i\) and \(j\), then also \(G\) is soluble. This generalizes a well-known result of O. H. Kegel for finite products of nilpotent subgroups. The above theorem was also proved by L. S. Kazarin and uses a solubility criterion of this author for finite products of soluble subgroups. Observe that a finite product of two soluble subgroups need not be soluble.
