The author proves some new fixed point theorems which generalize previous results of many authors, and he also given ten examples which disprove earlier conjectures. In particular, he answers two questions posed by \textit{S. Park} [J. Korean Math. Soc. 17, 131-140 (1980; Zbl 0448.54048)].
