Let \(L\) be a compact totally real \(n\)-manifold in \(\mathbb{C}^n\). Let \(\varphi\) be a complex linear function on \(\mathbb{C}^n\). If \(\mathbb{C}\setminus \varphi (L)\) has only finite number of connected components, then set \(L\varphi= \varphi (L)\). In general the definition of the compact \(L\varphi\) is more complicated. For a complex linear map \(\Phi=(\varphi_1, \dots, \varphi_{n-1}): \mathbb{C}^n \to \mathbb{C}^{n-1}\) of rank \(n-1\) set \(L\Phi=L \varphi_1\times \cdots \times L\varphi_{n-1}\) and call \(\Phi^{-1}(L \varphi)\) a face of \(L\). The main result of the paper is the following Theorem 1. For any \(L\) and \(\Phi\) as above there exists a nearly smooth analytic disk \(f:\overline D\to\mathbb{C}^n\) with boundary in \(L\) and such that \(f(D)\subset \varphi^{-1} (L\varphi)\). Moreover, if \(L\) is Lagrangian then \(f\) can be taken an analytic disk. Recall that an analytic disk is a smooth nonconstant map \(f:\overline D\to\mathbb{C}^n\), which is holomorphic on the unit disk \(D\). If \(f\) is only bounded and smooth on \(\overline D\setminus\{1\}\), then \(f\) is called nearly smooth analytic disk. Second result of the paper consists in constructing an example of a totally real torus \(X\) in \(\mathbb{C}^2\) for which there does not exist an analytic disk with boundary in \(X\).
