Positive solutions are studied for the fast diffusion equation with nonlinear boundary condition \[ \begin{cases} u_t=(u^m)_{xx} & (x,t)\in {\mathbb R}_+\times(0,T),\\ -(u^m)_x(0,t)=u^p(0,t)& t\in(0,T),\\ u(x,0)=u_0(x) & x\in {\mathbb R}_+,\end{cases} \] where \(0<m<1\) and \(p>1\) are parameters. The asymptotic behavior of \(u\) is described in terms of \(m\) and \(p.\) In the case of blowing-up solutions, the authors find the blow-up rate.
