The classical Newton transformation of an endomorphism provides a way to linearize the symmetric functions \(\sigma_r\) (for \(r>1\)). The authors generalize transformations as such, first for systems of endomorphisms and then in the context of foliation theory. They show that several integral formulas can be recovered from this generalization. Such formulas are used in the literature to study geometric and analytic properties of foliations. | |||
