The authors are concerned in this paper with the determination of the effect of a non-uniform crack-front geometry on the stress intensity factors for a semi-infinite plane crack with a wavy front under combined mode I-III loading. The crack faces are subjected to normal and shearing tractions. The problem is formulated in terms of the displacement potentials. An asymptotic solution for the related mixed boundary value problem is presented for use in the problem on hand. A perturbation scheme based on the assumption that the amplitude of the wavy front is small compared with its wavelength is used. Expressions for the stress intensity factors are obtained.
