Srivastava introduced hypergeometric functions \(H_A\), \(H_B\), \(H_C\) in three variables about four decades ago. In this interesting paper the authors first construct five pairs of symbolic operators and then establish its operator identities involving the Gauss functions \({_2F_1}\), the Appell functions \(F_1\), \(F_2\), \(F_3\), \(F_4\) and \(H_A\), \(H_B\), \(H_C\). Further, making use of the principle of superposition of operators, the authors derive 15 decomposition formulas for these triple hypergeometric functions. Next, alternative derivations of the decomposition formulas and integral representations via decomposition formulas are investigated. Finally, references to certain results that are special cases of the findings of this paper are given.
