The notion of subspace-hypercyclicity was introduced by \textit{B. F. Madore} and \textit{R. A. Martínez-Avendaño} in [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 373, No. 2, 502--511 (2011; Zbl 1210.47023)]. A~bounded linear operator \( T \) on a Banach space \(X\) is called subspace-hypercyclic for a nonzero subspace \(M\) of \(X\), or simply, \(M\)-hypercyclic, if there is a vector \(x \in X\) such that \(\{T^nx : n=0,1, \dots \} \cap M\) is dense in \(M\). \textit{J. Bonet} and \textit{A. Peris} [J. Funct. Anal. 159, No. 2, 587--595 (1998; Zbl 0926.47011)] proved the existence of continuous hypercyclic operators on any infinite-dimensional separable non-normable Fréchet space. In the paper under review, using a similar argument, it is shown that, for any nontrivial infinite-dimensional separable subspace \(M\) of a Banach space \(X\), an \(M\)-hypercyclic operator can be constructed. When \(X\) is separable, an invertible \(M\)-hypercyclic operator can be introduced that satisfies the hypercyclicity criterion; equivalently, this operator is weakly mixing. The next result states that, for any two hypercyclic operators \(T\) and \(S\) on a Banach space \(X\), there is a nontrivial subspace \(M\) of \(X\) and an invertible operator \(A\) on \(X\) such that \(T\) is \(M\)-hypercyclic and \(S\) is \(A(M)\)-hypercyclic. However, it is not known whether, for any two hypercyclic operators, there exists a nontrivial subspace \(M\) so that both of them are \(M\)-hypercyclic. In addition, the authors provide a new subspace-hypercyclicity criterion that generalizes \textit{C. M. Le}'s criterion in [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 139, No. 8, 2847--2852 (2011; Zbl 1221.47018)].
