The paper provides an analysis of the dynamics of the one-dimensional totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP). To begin with one calculates the multi-time distribution function of the position fluctuations of a tagged particle in the TASEP with step initial conditions. One discusses the relationship between the time evolution of a tagged particle in the TASEP with the step initial condition and the stochastic growth of the Young diagram. Then one considers the scaling limit of the multi-time distribution function by using a saddle point method. The paper concludes with some comments on the correlation of current fluctuations.
