A new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is constructed which employs the central point of the time delay in a class of neural networks with interval time-varying delays. New delay-dependent sufficient conditions for global asymptotic stability of the neural networks are derived in terms of convexity of a matrix inequality and some other new analytic techniques. Numerical examples are given to illustrate that the achieved conditions are less conservative than some existing ones in the literature.
