Let \(\Omega \subset{\mathbb R}^2\) be a bounded and simply connected domain with piecewise regular boundary, which is generated by splines of maximum degree \(p\) (spline curvilinear polygon). The authors consider the problem of constructing a cubature formula over \(\Omega\), which is exact for all bivariate polynomials of degree \(\leq 2n-1\), is stable, and is simple to implement in a Matlab code. This method does not need any decomposition of \(\Omega\), but relies directly on univariate Gauss-Legendre quadrature via Green's integral formula. Numerical tests are presented.
