The existence of a two-valued state on a lattice effect algebra is analyzed. Sufficient and necessary conditions for the existence of a such state are given in the following cases: (1) Archimedean atomic lattice effect algebras; (2) Archimedean atomic distributive lattice effect algebras; (3) (o)-continuous Archimedean atomic effect algebras. Moreover, two-valued states on generalized effect subalgebras of effect algebras and their relation to ordered ideals are studied.
