The authors produce new examples of harmonic maps, having as source manifold a Riemannian space \((M,g)\) of constant curvature, and as target manifold, its tangent space \(TM\) endowed with a \(g\)-natural metric (for \(g\)-natural metrics, e.g., refer to \textit{M. T. K. Abbassi} and \textit{M. Sarih} [Arch. Math., Brno 41, No.~1, 71--92 (2005; Zbl 1114.53015)]). In particular, a family of Riemannian \(g\)-natural metrics \(G\) on \(TS^2\) is determined, with respect to which all conformal gradient vector fields define harmonic maps from \(S^2\) into \((TS^2,G)\).
